By choosing a welding machine on the EURO-WELDING website, you are guaranteed that it is designed by a French or European manufacturer complying with the EN 60974-1 manufacturing standard.

Compliance with this EN 60974-1 standard by the manufacturer guarantees that the equipment produced is intended for industrial and professional use, and that with regard to the rules relating to electromagnetic compatibility, this equipment is rated class A.
It is your responsibility to check the following points before any use
- That the electrical network used when operating this type of equipment is properly earthed
- That the electrical line to which you connect the welding machine is controlled by a fuse whose amperage is in line with that indicated on the nameplate of the machine or that indicated in the supplier's manual.
Depending on the model of machine that interests you, specifically its power in Amperes or its type of current (single-phase or three-phase), it is your responsibility to contact your electricity supplier to ensure that you have the appropriate subscription.
-Pacemaker wearers should consult a doctor before using this equipment. Exposure to electromagnetic fields during welding may have other effects on health that are not yet known.
As a general rule, as with any other tool, it is essential to read the user manual provided with the machine, including the safety instructions, before using this equipment.

Whether in workshops or on job sites, the risks associated with welding work should never be underestimated — they remain significant: thermal risks, risks related to radiation, risks related to handling parts under voltage, chemical risks (welding fumes), etc.

To stay safe, it is essential to equip oneself with resistant and high-performance welder's protective equipment. It goes without saying that the secret of a perfect weld lies in the welder's expertise, but only when the latter is also equipped with the right welding equipment. And equipment is not limited to just the welding machine — it includes the essentials: accessories, consumables, and above all the appropriate welding protections.

So, if you already have the materials and tools needed for your welding work, do not forget the essential protective equipment for welding properly, including the welder's apron! The welding apron is indeed one of the various types of indispensable personal protective equipment (PPE) for welding work.

As a specialist in welding tools and various essential accessories and protections, EURO-WELDING offers you a wide range of professional or personal welder's aprons. We offer you professional-quality welding aprons that are robust, with a high level of protection, meeting all criteria even the most demanding.

Carry out all your welding work with complete peace of mind with a professional welding apron!

In order to reduce the risk of workplace accidents and injuries, every worker must be equipped with appropriate protective equipment. Anyone carrying out welding activities is indeed exposed to various risks. UV radiation generated by welding processes can cause eye-related consequences. Welding fumes, in addition to being toxic and irritating, can cause various pathologies affecting the respiratory system such as asthma, siderosis or a form of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Regular and prolonged exposure increases the risk of developing illness. Projections of incandescent metal particles as well as the heat of the materials to be welded can cause puncture injuries, cuts and burns that can, in the worst case, reach the 3rd degree. It is in particular to limit these risks of skin injuries and burns that it is appropriate to equip oneself with a welder's apron in addition to specific clothing.

The welder's clothing must provide effective protection against heat, flames and metal particles. With this in mind, the welder's clothing must be made of flame-retardant cotton or flammable technical textile. More specifically, it must comply with ISO 11611 class 1 or class 2 depending on the type of welding performed (MIG, MAG, TIG, …) and ISO 11612 for the heat and flame section. At the same time, it must be comfortable enough to allow the welder to work with full freedom of movement.

Every welder's PPE worthy of the name, whether a welding jacket, welding trousers, welding vest or welding coverall, must be both comfortable and robust. The importance of accessories should also be noted, as the welding apron is an indispensable item. The leather welder's apron will reinforce the protection of the garment, extend its lifespan and ensure an optimal level of protection for the worker.

We offer welding apron models that comply with current standards

All our models of professional or personal welder's apron have been designed taking into account European recommendations, within the framework of common technical, health and safety harmonisation legislation. In this regard, each model scrupulously complies with the pre-established standards.

Among other things, standard EN 11611 specifies the minimum safety requirements for protective clothing, including the welding helmet, the welder's apron, sleeves and gaiters, intended to protect the body including the head (welding helmets) and the feet (gaiters) during welding operations and other technical processes with comparable risks. Thus, the leather welder's apron, like all our EN 11611-certified equipment, protects the operator against small splashes of molten metal, against short-duration contact with a flame (≤ 2 secs), against radiant heat from the arc (20 kW/m2 ≥ 7 sec) and provides a certain degree of electrical insulation (1.0 x 105 Ω) in the event of accidental contact with an electrical conductor up to 100 V direct current under normal welding conditions. Standard EN 11611 specifies two performance classes: Class 1 being the lowest and Class 2 the highest.

A professional or personal welder's apron for optimal protection

Our welding aprons protect you from numerous inconveniences while shielding you from potential injuries. This equipment is generally made from tanned leather or split leather. Wearing a leather welder's apron protects in particular the chest and lower body against sparks during work performed in a standing or seated position. This type of equipment protects the operator against short-duration contact with flame, radiant heat and against splashes of molten metal emitted during welding operations.

In the event of accidental contact with an electrical conductor, the equipment insulates the operator against short-duration electric shocks up to 100V, generally in direct current. Welding and cutting generators can deliver higher voltages. In order to reduce the risks, it is important to follow the safety instructions of the equipment! In the event of a high risk of electric shock, additional precautions must be taken.

In general, our professional or personal welder's aprons are suitable for all arc welding processes (MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG, microplasma, spot welding, plasma and oxy-cutting), gouging and brazing. Nevertheless, depending on the process, it is up to the user to choose the most appropriate protection. Indeed, regardless of the type of welding clothing, it is not suitable in the event of flame propagation, exposure to significant splashes of molten metal, chemical hazards, cold, prolonged electrical risks or any other uses mentioned in the category III risks of European Directive 89/686/EEC. Each garment is suited to certain work positions and conditions. It is therefore the operator's responsibility to identify all risks and wear appropriate and additional protection if necessary.

As a precautionary measure, if molten metal sticks to the protective equipment, the user must immediately remove the apron. Before each use, it is advisable to check that the clothing and welder's apron are in good condition. If any equipment is damaged (cuts, perforations, holes), it must be replaced. Protective clothing and accessories must also be kept clean. The level of protection will be reduced if they are contaminated with flammable products. A high oxygen content in the air can considerably reduce the effectiveness of this welding protective equipment against flame. Furthermore, moisture, water and sweat can reduce the electrical insulating properties of a welding apron.

Robust leather welder's aprons, yet very comfortable and light to wear!

The majority of our models are equipped with adjustable straps to ensure good stability and guarantee your safety; they are also quick and easy to put on and take off. With or without a pocket, they fasten via two ties around the neck and behind the back. The operator must ensure they choose an appropriate size and that the welding apron is properly adjusted when in use.

The tanned leather or split leather welder's apron protects clothing during welding work. In our wide selection, you will find among others full-grain apron models made from a single piece of naturally tanned chrome full-grain bovine leather, as well as split grain apron models made from a single piece of naturally tanned chrome first split rump leather or vegetable-tanned chrome-free grain basane leather.

All in all, whether you are tall or short, broad or slim, you will find the welding apron that meets all your expectations at EURO-WELDING. Thanks to their adjustable and extra-long straps, our models will hold firmly in place while protecting the exposed parts of your body. They have been reinforced at all the main stress points to guarantee performance and durability. These are very strong and robust aprons, while remaining supple thanks to high-quality leather, making them comfortable to wear for long periods, while protecting you against heat, sparks, abrasion, cuts and many other hazards.
